Dato’ Mohammed Azlan Bin Hashim
Chairman
Dato’ Azlan is a Malaysian who has extensive experience in the corporate sectors including in financial services and investments. Amongst others, he has served as Executive Chairman of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (formerly known as Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange) Group, Chief Executive of Bumiputra Merchant Bankers Berhad and Group Managing Director of Amanah Capital Malaysia Berhad.
He is currently a board member of various corporate and non profit entities in Malaysia, including Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Scomi Group Bhd., D&O Ventures Berhad, SILK Holdings Berhad and Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia. In Singapore, he serves on the board of Asiasons Capital Limited
Dato’ Azlan holds a Bachelor of Economics(Monash) and qualified as a Chartered Accountnant(Australia). He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australia, Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Fellow Member of Malaysian Institute of Directors and Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and Hon. Aw Soon Beng
Chief Executive Officer
Mr Aw Soon Beng is our CEO and Executive Director. Since the inception of Westcomb in June 2000, Mr Aw was our COO till November 2006 when he become the CEO. As CEO, Mr Aw is responsible to oversee the overall management of our Group. Prior to joining Westcomb, Mr Aw has 14 years of banking experience garnered in DBS Bank in the areas of corporate finance, corporate and syndication lending, consumer finance and international banking. Having worked in management positions in Taiwan and the PRC, Mr Aw has extensive overseas experience and is intimately familiar with the business and financial environment of the Greater China Region. He has been directly involved in the successful public listings of a number of local and foreign companies on the SGX-ST. Mr Aw holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore.

Martin Chu Leong Meng
Non-Executive Director
Mr Martin Chu, a Malaysian, holds an M.SC (Management Science) and B. Sc. Hons (Mechanical Engineering) from Imperial College, University of London. He has more than twenty years experience in financial services, with his last stint as Deputy CEO, Group Management Services Division of EON Bank Berhad, Malaysia. During his time in EON Bank Berhad, he has managed almost all areas of the bank, both front and back offices, including Project Management, Group Finance, Investor Relation, Information Technology, Treasury, Loan Recovery & Collections, Human Resources, Delivery Channels, Project Finance and Banking Operations. He also undertook leadership roles in various corporate exercises of the said banking group including the reverse takeover of Kedah Cement Holdings Berhad and the acquisition of Oriental Bank Berhad and Malaysian International Merchant Bank Berhad (“MIMB”). He also led the merger integration of Oriental Bank and MIMB into EON Bank concurrent with his appointment as Executive Director/Acting CEO of Oriental Bank Berhad in the interim period.
Prior to his tenure with EON Bank, he was with The Mitsubishi Bank in London for eight years, specializing in property finance, leverage buyout, project finance and loan restructuring.
He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of ECM Libra Investment Bank Berhad, Malaysia.

Lee Joo Hai
Independent Director
Mr Lee was appointed as an Independent Director on 31 March 2008. He is a partner in BDO Raffles, a public accounting firm and has over 25 years of accounting and auditing. He has serviced large multinational and public listed companies as well as smaller entities. Activiities of clients include those of property developers, hoteliers, insurers, building contractors, manufacturers, insurance brokers, freight forwarders and those in other service industries. Mr Lee also sits on the boards of a few other listed companies in Singapore and is also a member of the Institute of Directors of both Singapore and Hong Kong. Mr Lee is a Certified Public Accountant of Singapore and also holds memberships in the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, CPA Australia and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Tan Soo Kiat
Independent Director
Mr Tan Soo Kiat is our Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and currently a director of Intergate Pte Ltd, a company engaged in the provision of corporate advisory services. With extensive experience in the banking and finance industry, he previously held senior financial appointments in several public-listed companies. Currently, he is also a Board member of a number of public companies listed on the Singapore Exchange. A Chartered Accountant, he graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand.

Ng Teck Wah
Non-Executive Director
Mr Ng Teck Wah is the Joint Managing Director of Asiasons Capital Limited and he joined the Company in October 2007. He was formerly an Executive Director of the Transaction Advisory Services Division of Ernst & Young in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Before joining Ernst & Young, he was an Executive Director of the Corporate Finance division in Arthur Andersen and was one of the founding directors of that division in Arthur Andersen, where he had been for 20 years before merging with Ernst & Young in 2002.
Mr Ng graduated with an Honours degree in Accounting from University of Birmingham, England and is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom. He also holds membership in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He has over 20 years of experience in turnaround management, insolvency and corporate finance advisory work and has built a preeminent status as a market leader in Corporate Restructuring Advisory work in Malaysia.

Jared Lim
Alternate Director to Dato’ Mohammed Azlan Bin Hashim
Mr Jared Lim is the Joint Managing Director of Asiasons Capital Limited, an alternative asset investment and management group, predominantly focused on private equity opportunities in the Asia Pacific region. He is a former corporate finance director of a Malaysian investment bank.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Economics and Accounting) (Hons) from the University of Bristol, UK and later obtained a first class in Masters of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Hull. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Mr Jared Lim started his career as a research analyst for the technology, airlines, telecommunications and power industries/sectors with DBS Bank, Singapore and later joined Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia (both in Singapore and Malaysia). In 2002, he joined Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd and was mandated to start the corporate finance department, eventually growing it to a 40 personnel strong department.
Mr Jared Lim’s last position was with ECM Libra Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd as a Director of the Investment Banking Department. In his corporate finance advisory work, he has advised on numerous industries, sectors and businesses, for IPOs, ECM and M&A Services. He also has extensive experience in turnaround management, insolvency and corporate finance advisory work and has built a strong reputation as a Corporate Restructuring Advisor in Malaysia. He has been involved in the successful listing and restructuring exercises of numerous public listed companies in Malaysia and is credited for bringing in the first few China based assets to be listed on Bursa Malaysia.

Loo Chin Keong
Alternate Executive Director to Aw Soon Beng
Loo Chin Keong is one of our co-founders. He has over 18 years of experience in the investment banking and financial services industry. Prior to joining Westcomb Capital, Chin Keong was a manager in the Investment Banking Group of DBS Bank for three years. He was mainly involved in IPOs and other corporate finance transactions for both Singapore and foreign companies. Chin Keong has also worked in the Singapore and Shanghai offices of an international auditing firm for six years as an audit deputy manager. Chin Keong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from the National University of Singapore.
